Supporting the troops
Tuesday, April 6, 2010

With C Troop home and Rick Brown (our former “troop volunteer”) moved to North Carolina, we have established a new connection to encourage and support our troops. Edward Brogran, head of the Presbyterian Council for Chaplains and Military Personnel, says "continue sending the same wonderful items you've been sending" to their Washington, D.C. address. They will get them out of Andrews AFB directly to a unit in the field under stressful conditions.

Chaplain Brogan works in and out of the Pentagon and is well connected to deployed units. He says, "Presbyterian Chaplains are always asking for such items. Many units do not have good support from home. Could you help?"

"We always need Hot Hands®, beef jerky, small powder drink mix packs, wrapped hard candies, coffee creamer packs, & single hand towelettes. Soldiers love mystery and light romance novels (even lightly used). Comic books are a favorite!"

If you would like to purchase Bibles for soldiers, they cost $3.50 each. Buy as few or as many as you would like. Mark checks accordingly.
