 Child Care Development Center Minimize

Our Philosophy...

The First Presbyterian Child Development Center provides an environment of Christian love in which every child is valued and respected as a unique child of God.  The worth of the child is central to our philosophy.  Our program is based on knowledge of child development that considers spiritual, social, emotional, intellectual, and physical growth of the child.  We believe that activities should be success-oriented so that each child builds a healthy self-image.  Play is essential, as well as exploration and cognitive discovery using manipulative materials and language experiences.  Our curriculum is developmentally appropriate for each age group.

We are licensed by the State of Georgia and are recognized as an Early Childhood Program which meets National Standards of Quality.

Our Staff...

Our Goals...

*To install within the child a sense of self worth because he/she is a child of God.

*To foster a feeling of belonging, success and friendliness by providing a good atmosphere for learning and growth.

*To help the child to listen, observe, investigate, seek, and acquire information using critical thinking and problem solving.

*To encourage creative expression through language, movement, art and music, cultivating a sense of aesthetic.

*To develop language skills with particular emphasis on oral communication.
